The UNS designation of ASTM A240 201 is UNS20100. The equivalent material of ASTM A240 301 is 1Cr17Mn6Ni5N(or 12Cr17Mn6Ni5N, or 201C) in Chinese standard.
ASTM A240 Type 201 is generally produced with a chemical composition balanced for rich side (Type 201-1) or lean side (Type 201-2) austenite stability depending on the properties required for specific applications. The ASTM A240 201-1 has lower mechanical property then type 201-2.
When specified by the purchaser, Charpy impact tests shall be performed in accordance with Supplementary Requirement S1. And the S1 Charpy impact tests shall be conducted in accordance with Test Methods and Definitions A370 including Number of Tests, Orientation of Test Specimens, Test Temperature, Acceptance Limit and Records.
