40MnB grade is a Chinese GB standard (GB/T 3077) alloy structural steel. 40MnB material density is 7.85 g/cm³.
GB 40MnB alloy steel is produced in hot rolled and forged alloy steel bars which are not more than 250mm of nominal diameter or thickness.

GB3077 40MnB steel application
Grade 40MnB steel is usually used in quenched and tempered condition. This alloy can be used after normalizing to make important parts such as shafts, small shafts, balance levers, etc. 40MnB steel works under wear and friction conditions or under large impact loads. Rocker, connecting rod, bolt, nut, gear and various rollers. In addition, GB 3077 40MnB steel can also be used as a high-frequency surface hardening steel for parts requiring high surface hardness and wear resistance.
