S620Q steels specified in EN10025-6 document are applicable to hot-rolled flat products with a minimum nominal thickness of 3 mm and a maximum nominal thickness ≤ 150 mm. For grade EN10025-6 S620Q, S is the symbol for structural steel, 620 is the indication of the minimum specified yield strength for thickness < 50 mm expressed in MPa1, Q is for the quenched and tempered delivery condition.
The S620Q steels specified in EN10025-6 document shall be fully killed. The EN10025-6 S620Q steels shall have a fine grain structure containing nitrogen binding elements in amounts sufficient to bind the nitrogen. The S620Q products shall be supplied in the quenched and tempered condition (Q) as defined in Clause 3.
