Comparing with other boiler steel grades in ASTM A203/A203M boiler steel plate A203 Grade F owned a higher yield strength above 380 Mpa for plates thickness equal and belows 100MM, and tensile strength above 550 Mpa.

The maximum thickness of A203 Grade F pressure vessel plates is limited only by the capacity of the composition to meet the specified mechanical property requirements, however, current practice normally limits the maximum thickness of A203 Grade F boiler plates furnished under 100 mm.
All plates of A203 Grade F Nickel Plate shall be heat treated by heating into the austenitic range, quenching in water, and tempering at not less than 1100℉[595℃] for not less than ½ h.
