JIS G3114 SMA490BW steel is a weather resistant steel created by alloying copper, chromium and nickel. SMA490BW grade steel has added phosphorous which makes the material best suited for gas flue applications and for aesthetic facias. SMA490BW steel plate is intended for welded, bolted or riveted construction of bridges and other structures where high strength and enhanced corrosion resistance are required.
JIS G3114 standard specifies hot rolled atmospheric corrosion resisting steels for bridges, architecture and other welded structure.
