EN10149-2 S460MC steel equivalent has Grade QStE 460TM. The material number is 1.0982.
S460MC material is a high yield strength steel for cold forming.
EN10149-2 S460MC steel products are given in the chemical composition and the mechanical properties below and are supplied in the thermomechanically rolled delivery condition as given in the below.
S460MC steel specified in this European Standard are applicable to hot-rolled flat products in the thickness range of:
- 1,5 mm to 20 mm for the steels which have a specified minimum yield strength of 315 MPa1) up to and including 460 MPa1);
- 1,5 mm to 16 mm for the steels which have a specified minimum yield strength of 500 MPa1) up to and including 700 MPa1);
- 2 mm up to 10 mm for the steels with a minimum yield stress in the range from 900 MPa1) to 960 MPa1).
Note: 1 MPa = 1 N/mm².

Delivery condition:
S460MC steel manufacturing process shall be in accordance with EN 10149-1. S460MC steel shall be supplied in the thermomechanically rolled delivery condition. The surface protection of descaled products shall be in accordance with EN 10149-1.
