42CrMo steel belongs to ultra-high strength steel, with high strength and toughness, and good hardenability. There is no obvious tempering brittleness. After quenching and tempering treatment, it has higher fatigue limit and resistance to multiple impact. The steel is suitable for making large and medium-sized plastic molds requiring certain strength and toughness.
