Katalor is a professional supplier for pressure vessels steels. One of the professional plates are under ASTM A387M--Standard Specification for Pressure Vessel Plates, Alloy Steel, Chromium-Molybdenum. A387M material is another alloy steels for welded boilers and pressure vessels designed for elevated temperature service and are available under this specification in several grades having different alloy contents.

ASTM A387 Grade 5 is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel plates with chemical content of nominal Cr 5% and nominal Mo 0.5%. And ASTM A387 Grade 5 Class 1 has lower tensile strength and yield strength than Class 2. The tensile strength of ASTM A387 Grade 5 Class 1 is 415-585MPa(60-85KSI), and the yield strength of ASTM A387 Gr.5 Cl.1 is 205MPa (30KSI)
ASTM A387 Grade 5 Class 1 plates shall be killed and be thermally treated either by annealing, normalizing and tempering, or, when permitted by the purchaser, accelerated cooling from the austenitizing temperature by air blasting or liquid quenching, followed by tempering 1300°F [705°C]. If the plates ASTM A387 Grade 5 Class 1 do not made heat treatment above, the plates ordered shall be furnished in either the stress relieved or the annealed condition.
