GB713 Q345R is a low-alloy high-strength steel plate specifically designed for pressure vessels, widely used in China's pressure vessel manufacturing industry.
Excellent Mechanical Properties:
Yield Strength: Minimum yield strength of 345 MPa (yield strength may slightly decrease with increasing thickness for thinner plates).
Tensile Strength: 510-640 MPa.
Elongation: Greater than 21%, offering good plasticity and toughness.
Impact Toughness: Charpy V-notch impact energy greater than 34J at 0°C, ensuring good toughness in low-temperature environments.
Processing Properties:
Weldability: Q345R has good welding performance, suitable for various welding processes, but heat treatment and post-weld processing should be considered to prevent performance degradation.
Cold and Hot Working Properties: Suitable for cutting, bending, forming, and other processes, making it ideal for manufacturing complex structures.
Heat Treatment Condition: Typically delivered in hot-rolled or normalized condition, with options for quenching and tempering (Q+T) or thermomechanical controlled processing (TMCP) to optimize performance.
Corrosion and Wear Resistance:
Compared to ordinary carbon steel, Q345R contains small amounts of alloying elements (such as manganese and silicon), providing better corrosion and wear resistance, suitable for harsh environments.
Lower phosphorus and sulfur content compared to Q345 (16Mn) steel, further improving corrosion resistance and impact toughness.
