  Preventive measures for 09CuPCrNi-A weathering steel wearing problems includes two aspects: anti-wear and wear resistance. First of all, consideration should be given to the structure of the pipe to make it have good anti-wear performance. The elbow is the most abrasion-resistant part in the dust-removing and weathering steel, and it should be given special consideration. The relevant technical measures to deal with the wear problem are summarized as follows:

  1. On the premise of ensuring that the dust in the weathering steel does not settle, control the wind speed in the pipe as much as possible.

  2. Reasonably design the structure of the dust extraction hood and the air extraction position, control the wind speed at the mouth of the hood, set up baffles, etc., and try to avoid excessive coarse particles from entering the weathering steel produced by BBN Steel.

  3. When conditions permit, the curvature radius of the elbow can be increased. For the dust removal system, the radius of curvature can be selected to be twice the diameter of the pipe. But this approach is not a long-term solution.

  4. The wall thickness of weathering steel elbow or tee is appropriately increased by 1 ~ 2.5mm, but it is not a long-term solution.

  5. A replaceable lining is set on the outside of the weathering steel elbow, but the construction and maintenance are troublesome and the cost is high. The lining of 09CuPCrNi-A steel is made of abrasion-resistant materials. The common ones are:

  a. Wear-resistant cast iron. It is mainly used for elbow anti-wear lining board, usually nodular cast iron is suitable. The grades are QT10, QT20, QT30.

  b. Wear-resistant cast stone. Adding additives to basalt, melt casting, heat treatment, and quenching and tempering, has very high hardness and good wear resistance, and is sold. Cast stone can be cast with cement.

  c. Wear-resistant rubber.

  d. Wear-resistant coating. Two ratio methods can be used: the first one: Portland cement is mixed with corundum in a ratio of 1: 3. The second method: Prepare as shown in the table below.
