Q295GNH steel plate is suitable for all types of wear, sliding and impact, dry or wet media, including high temperatures up to 350 degrees Celsius. Q295GNH weathering steel is an ideal steel product for cement, glass and steel manufacturing, public works, casting, agricultural machinery, mines and quarries.
Q295GNH steel manufacturing process
Cold formingDespite its high hardness, q295gnh weatherboard V can still be cold formed. However, it should be noted that as the yield strength increases, the deformation force and the rebound force required for the same thickness steel plate also need to be increased. It is recommended to use flame cutting or shearing edges in cold bending areas to prevent cracking.

ThermoformingThis steel grade obtains hardness by accelerated cooling from the austenitizing temperature. After hot forming, the hardness can only be restored by re-quenching. It is foreseeable that the hardness obtained by re-quenching will be different from the hardness measured at the factory. This is because there is a difference in the ability of the quenching equipment when producing steel plates and the quenching equipment owned by the processing plant. When the steel plate is heated to about 200 ° C (390 ° F), the hardness will not decrease significantly.
Q295GNH steel flame cutting and welding
Flame cutting should follow the following low preheating temperature: plate thickness 30-50mm, 75 ° C (170 ° F); plate thickness 50mm or more, 100 ° C (215 ° F).
For manual arc welding, an alkaline coating electrode with low residual moisture should be used (if necessary, it should be dried according to the requirements of the electrode manufacturer).
