This is because the higher the degree of orientation, the smaller the magnetostriction (the so-called magnetostriction is the phenomenon that ferromagnetic substances expand or contract during magnetization, which is the main reason for the noise of the transformer), the more magnetic the silicon steel sheet is good, and the iron loss is reduced. Non-oriented silicon steel is used in motor manufacturing.
