16MO3 steel plate is a kind of steel plate for boilers and pressure vessels. The implementation standard is European standard EN1002. 16MO3 steel plate is different from other materials during welding. It must be preheated first, and the weld should be kept warm for about 30 minutes after the welding is completed.
Manganese is also an important alloying element in steel and an important hardenability element, which has a great influence on the toughness of the weld metal.
Chemical composition of 16MO3 steel plate
Carbon: 12%-20%
Molybdenum: less than 35%
Manganese: 40%-9%
Phosphorus: less than 0.25%
Copper: less than 30%
Chromium: less than 30%
Nickel: less than 30%
The characteristics of 16MO3 steel plate
Heat resistance;
Preservative;
When the Mn content is less than 5%, the patience of the weld metal is very high;
When the Mn content is more than 3%, it is very brittle;
When the Mn content is between 60% and 180%, the weld metal has higher strength and resistance.
