Simple section steel is a straight product with a relatively large ratio of length to section circumference and no obvious convex and concave parts in the cross section. It is also called bar or ordinary section steel, including square steel, round steel, flat steel, and angle steeland so on.
Square steel: its specifications are expressed by its side length dimensions. Generally, the side length of square steel is 5~250mm.
Round steel: its specifications are expressed by its diameter. Generally, the diameter of round steel is 5~200mm. Among them, round steel with a diameter of 5-9mm is delivered in a coil, so it is called wire rod. Because of its small section and large length, it is also called wire.
Flat steel: its specification is expressed by the product of its section width and thickness. The width is 12~200mm, and the thickness is 4~60mm.
Angle Steel: There are equilateral and unequal angle steel. Equilateral angle steel has a leg length of 20~250mm, which is called No.2~No.25 angle steel accordingly. The length of both sides of the unequal angle steel is 25/16~250/160mm, correspondingly called No.2.5/1.6~No.25/16 unequal angle steel.
