Compared with ordinary steel plates or other materials, the wear resistance of NM500 abrasion resistant steel plate is stronger, which is much higher than the wear resistance obtained by spray welding and thermal spraying.

The reason why NM500 abrasion resistant steel plate is more wear-resistant is that it not only has hard particles, but also has a soft base material. Generally speaking, there will be some falling materials during the wear process, these materials will be integrated into the soft matrix, and will not cause great damage to the surface.

The wear-resistant layer of NM500 abrasion resistant steel plate is metallurgically combined with the substrate, and the bonding strength is high. Even if it is impacted, NM500 abrasion resistant steel plate can absorb energy during the impact, and the wear-resistant layer will not fall off. Although the surface strength of ordinary steel plate can be improved after heat treatment or surface carburizing and nitriding treatment, if the hardness of this steel plate is too high, it may peel off quickly, which is not conducive to wear resistance.
