steel for bridges

The grade of the bridge steel, Q—the first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the “Qi” character of the yield point of the bridge steel; 370—the value of the yield point, in Mpa; q—the first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the"qiao"; character of the bridge steel; C—the quality Grade C, used for road bridges and railway bridges (including sea-crossing bridges) of riveted and bolted structures

Smelting method
Steel is smelted by converter or electric furnace and should be refined outside the furnace.

delivery status
The steel shall be delivered in any delivery state of hot rolling, normalizing, thermomechanical rolling and quenching and tempering (including in-line quenching + high temperature tempering), and shall be indicated in the quality certificate.

The steel delivered in the normalized state shall be subjected to high temperature tempering treatment (tempering temperature not less than 580 °C) when it is cooled in other media with a faster cooling rate than in air.

For exposed steel with atmospheric corrosion resistance, it should be delivered in any of the above-mentioned delivery states except normalizing. Tempering should be carried out when cooling is carried out at a faster cooling rate than in air.
