SA36 carbon steel plate is a carbon structural steel used for general structural applications such as riveting, bolting or welding of bridges and buildings. The SA36 carbon steel plate should have a yield strength higher than 250Mpa and a thickness equal to or lower than 200 mm. For the thickness of the SA36 carbon steel plate above 200mm, this value should be above 220Mpa. The tensile strength of SA36 carbon steel plate should be between 400-550Mpa. For thicker SA36 carbon steel plate, the end user can choose heat treatment to improve the properties of the SA36 carbon steel plate.
