The low temperature tempering of NM360 wear plate is mainly used for cutting tools, cold working dies, rolling bearings, precision measuring tools, lead screws, carburized parts and so on.
For some precision measuring tools and parts, in order to maintain high hardness, eliminate stress and stabilize size after quenching, one or several long-term low-temperature tempering is often carried out after quenching or grinding for NM360 wear plate, the temperature is 120-150 ℃, and the time is ten to ten hours. This tempering is called "low temperature aging". The purpose is to improve the toughness of NM360 wear plate and reduce the internal stress of quenching under the condition of maintaining high hardness, strength and wear resistance. After tempering, the hardness of NM360 wear plate can reach 55-64hrc.
