Product analysis of 35# steel

1. 35# steel is widely used to manufacture all kinds of forgings and hot pressed parts, cold drawn and top forged steel, seamless steel pipes and parts in mechanical manufacturing, such as crankshaft, rotating shaft, shaft pin, lever, connecting rod, cross beam, sleeve, rim, washer, screw, nut, etc.

2. Heat treatment specification and metallographic structure of 35# steel:
Heat treatment specification: normalizing, 870℃; Quenching, 850℃; Tempering, 600℃.
Metallographic structure: ferrite + pearlite.

3. Chemical composition of 35# steel plate:
Carbon C: 0.32 - 0.40
Silicon Si: 0.17 - 0.37
Mn: 0.50 - 0.80
Sulfur S: ≤ 0.035
Phosphorus P: ≤ 0.035
Cr: ≤ 0.25
Nickel: Ni ≤ 0.25
Copper Cu: ≤ 0.25

4. Mechanical properties of 35# steel plate:
Tensile strength σb (MPa):≥530(54)
yield strength σs (MPa):≥315(32)
Elongation δ5 (%):≥20
Reduction of area ψ (%): ≥45
Impact energy Akv (J): ≥ 55
Impact toughness value αkv (J/cm ²): ≥69(7)
Hardness: untreated ≤ 197hb
Sample size: the sample size is 25mm

5. Heat treatment of 35# steel: delivered without heat treatment or heat treatment (annealing, normalizing or high temperature tempering). If heat treatment status is required, it shall be indicated.
