Pakistan makes final anti-dumping ruling on cold-rolled coils in Taiwan

On February 3, 2022, the National Tariff Commission of Pakistan issued an announcement stating that it has made an affirmative final anti-dumping ruling on Cold Rolled Coils/Sheets originating in or imported from Taiwan, the European Union, South Korea and Vietnam. It was decided to impose anti-dumping duties of 6.18%, 6.50%, 13.24% and 17.25% on the products involved in Taiwan, the European Union, South Korea and Vietnam at cost-plus-freight (C&F) prices, respectively. The measures will take effect from 23 August 2021 and will be valid for 5 years.

 

The products involved are cold-rolled sheets or cold-rolled coils of iron or non-alloy steel with a width of ≤ 1250 mm, a thickness of 0.15 mm to 3.00 mm, primary and secondary, unclad, plated or coated iron or non-alloy steel (excluding some car model shells) with cold-rolled coil and tin-rolled black steel).

 

On February 25, 2021, Pakistan initiated an anti-dumping investigation on cold-rolled coils originating in or imported from Taiwan, the European Union, South Korea, and Vietnam.


On August 23, 2021, Pakistan made an affirmative preliminary anti-dumping ruling on the case, and the preliminary ruling will impose a 4-month provisional anti-dumping duty on the products involved based on the cost and freight price from August 23, 2021. Among them, Taiwan, China The region is 6.18%, the EU is 6.50%, South Korea is 13.24%, and Vietnam is 17.25%.
