Nangang's high-manganese austenitic steel for low temperature environment has obtained ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) certificate.
Nanjing Iron & Steel has become the only company in China and the second company in the world to pass this certification. The R&D and industrialization of high-manganese and low-temperature steel of Nanjing Iron & Steel broke the monopoly of foreign technology, and made positive contributions to the development of China's low-carbon/zero-carbon energy industry chain and the national "dual-carbon" goal.
It is understood that high-manganese low-temperature steel uses carbon, manganese and chromium as the main alloying elements, of which the mass fraction of manganese is as high as 25%. The material properties are special and industrial production is difficult. Due to its excellent performance and economic advantages, high-manganese low-temperature steel has attracted much attention as a new material required for the manufacture of low-temperature liquid tanks in the low-carbon/zero-carbon energy industry chain. cargo capacity.
Nangang took the lead in overcoming the technical difficulties of continuous casting production of high-manganese and low-temperature steel in China, and developed the "converter-refining-continuous casting-hot rolling-online" technology based on the equipment and technical advantages of wide and thick plate production lines and furnace coil production lines. "Solid solution" production process has been carried out in various aspects of experimental research and evaluation tests on the low-temperature mechanical properties, fatigue properties, fracture toughness, physical and chemical properties of steel plate base materials and welded joints.
The high-manganese low-temperature steel produced by Nangang has a highly stable all-austenite structure, and has excellent comprehensive strength in the low temperature environment of minus 196 degrees Celsius to minus 269 degrees Celsius.
