Iran's iron and steel exports have increased by 40% to 5.8 million tons in the past six months, according to the latest report from the Iranian iron and steel producers association (ISPA). Among them, the export of semi-finished steel products reached 4.02 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 43%, and the export of finished steel products reached 1.87 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 37%.
The ISPA report shows that compared with the same period of last year, in the past six months, steel import volume was 229000 tons, down 60.03% year on year. Among them, the import volume of semi-finished steel products is only 2000 tons, down 93% year on year, and the import volume of finished steel steel products is down 58% to 227000 tons year on year.
