Common classification of abrasion resistant steel plate

Abrasion resistant steel plate refers to a special plate designed for use under large-area wear conditions. There are three types of commonly used abrasion resistant steel plate: cast abrasion resistant steel plate, surfacing abrasion resistant steel plate and alloy abrasion resistant steel plate.

Cast abrasion resistant steel plate, as the name suggests, are unrolled cast steel plates. The advantage of casting is that it can be produced in large quantities and quickly, so the price is lower. But the shortcomings are also obvious, because the molten steel has bubbles during cooling, so the overall strength is low. In addition, the machinability is also low!

Surfacing abrasion resistant steel plate is a plate made of a certain thickness of alloy wear-resistant layer with high hardness and excellent wear resistance on the surface of ordinary low carbon steel or low alloy steel with good toughness and plasticity. The advantage of surfacing abrasion resistant steel plate is that it can be repaired in time when the surfacing layer is damaged, so that the surfacing layer can be continuously updated when the same substrate is used to achieve the purpose of continuous use. The shortcomings also exist, and there are certain requirements for different welding materials, working conditions and corresponding welding processes.

Alloy abrasion resistant steel plate, which is now common high-strength abrasion resistant steel plate, because it does not require any processing from the factory, its wear resistance, impact resistance and processing performance are very good, and it has been widely used in mines and machinery , coal, metallurgy, electric power, cement, environmental protection and other industries.
