API 2Y Gr.60 steel plates are used for welded structural parts of marine structures. The steel plates in key parts must resist impact, plastic fatigue loads and laminar tearing. These steel plates are mainly used for pipe joints, stiffened plate structures and other poor parts. Some of the steel plates in these parts must bear tensile loads in the thickness direction (Z direction).
