A comprehensive introduction to Q345 alloy steel

Q345 alloy steel belongs to the low alloy series-low alloy high strength structural steel (GB/T1591-1994).

Q345A alloy steel and q345b alloy steel are usually called 16Mn, this material is the most common. Q345 alloy steel expression method: Q stands for yield, and 345 means that the yield value is around 345. As the thickness increases, the yield value will decrease.

Compared with carbon structural steel, Q345 alloy steel has the advantages of high strength, good comprehensive performance, long service life, wide application range, and relatively economical. The steel is often rolled into plates, sections, seamless steel pipes, etc., and is widely used in bridges, ships, boilers, vehicles and important building structures.

Q345A, Q345B, Q345C, Q345D, Q345E are the classification of grades, which mainly represent different impact temperatures.

Q345A level, is not to make an impact;

Q345B level, is 20 degrees normal temperature impact;

Q345C level, is 0 degree impact;

Q345D level, is -20 degree impact;

Q345E level is -40 degree impact.

At different impact temperatures, the value of the impact is also different.
