Grade Designation Breakdown:
A: Denotes the ASTM standard;
633: Indicates the yield strength rating of the steel plate (e.g., the yield strength of A633 Gr. E is 415 MPa);
Gr. E: Quality grade (Grade E), representing the highest grade; it passes low-temperature impact testing at -40°C.
Applicable Standard:
ASTM A633/A633M; production thickness range: 8–150 mm; steelmaking process: basic oxygen furnace or electric arc furnace refining.
ASTM A633 Gr. E Chemical Composition:
Base elements: Carbon (C ≤ 0.22%), Silicon (Si 0.15–0.50%), Manganese (Mn 1.15–1.50%);
Alloying elements: Vanadium (V 0.15–0.40%), Niobium (Nb 0.01–0.05%), as well as Copper, Nickel, Chromium, and Molybdenum (with stricter limits for Grade E).

Yield strength: ≥415 MPa;
Tensile strength: 550–690 MPa;
Elongation: ≥18%;

Processing and Delivery:
Delivery condition: Primarily normalized (air-cooled after high-temperature austenitizing); double normalization is required for thicknesses exceeding 75 mm.
